THERE IS A NEW STAR SHINING IN THE SKY TONIGHT...♥

There is an old belief that the stars shining in the night sky are the
spirits of those who have died.♥ They have shed their earthly bodies and
exchanged them for bodies made of light;♥ thousands upon thousands of our
dear departed friends all promoted to glory in the night sky.♥ There is
another saying that the brightest flame burns the shortest.♥

My friend, you were the brightest star in my own universe.♥ While I burn
on, my flame dimmed by grief and despair at your passing,♥ the stars are
watching me.♥ They are too far away for me to touch,♥ just as you have
gone somewhere I cannot follow until my own star-time comes.♥ They
cannot be held close for comfort,♥ just as I can no longer hold you
close,♥ though I held you close to comfort you in your final hours.♥ We
were together for such a short time,♥ but the stars will burn forever.♥

One day I will grow tired of this earthbound body,♥ my own star-time will
come and my spirit will soar into the sky to burn with all those friends
who have gone before me.♥ On the inky cloth of space we will be reunited
in constellations of joy.♥ Until then, my flame burns low and dim and
cold without you.♥ Through my tears I look upwards to see if you are
watching me and what do I see?♥

There is a new star shining in the sky tonight.♥

SHEBA WITH LOVE

Unconditional Love.♥♥

When a dog offers you his heart
Accept it with a smile
For his love will last a lifetime -
Which is such a little while.♥♥

When a dog offers you his heart
Take it gladly and with pride
For he will be a faithful friend
Ever by your side.♥♥

A dog loves you because you're you -
Not for how you speak or what job you do
You could be short, tall, thin or fat
Or ugly as sin, he doesn't care about that.♥

A dog knows if you're good or bad
He can see inside your soul
When he decides you're okay
To earn your love is his main goal.♥♥

When you're sad, he'll comfort you
And kiss away each tear
You may even wake up in the morning
With a cold nose in your ear♥♥
.
When eventually the time comes
And the lights in his eyes dim
A new star will shine in Heaven
In remembrance of him.♥♥


You'll gaze up at the midnight sky
And you will hear him say -
"I'm so glad you were my human
We'll meet again some day!"♥♥


So, if this poem has caused a tear to fall
That's because you love the dog who's giving you his all
Go travel on together, happily paw in glove
He's the only one who'll ever give you unconditional love.♥♥

Now you sit at Heaven's Gate♥
Waggin' your tail, you patiently wait♥
Until the time we meet again♥
When I have reached my journey's end♥
Now I cried when you left that day♥
You weren't here to lick my tears away♥
Time will heal, my heart will mend♥
Tho you are missed...my beloved friend♥
I have peace in knowing what lays in store♥
When I find myself at Heaven's door♥

♥she's reached the stars and heard the call.♥
♥She's comfortable upon the moon♥
♥where she can sing a special tune.♥
♥Her essence is pure joy you see♥

Sheba

A SHEPHERD'S PRAYER♥♥♥
So do not grieve for me,
my friend As I am with my kind.♥
My collar is a rainbow's hue
My leash is a shooting star ♥
My boundaries are the milky way
Where I sparkle from afar. ♥
There are no pens or kennels here
For I am not confined ♥
But free to roam God's heavens
Among my shepherd kind.♥
I nap the day on a snowy cloud
And gentle breezes are rocking me ♥
I dream the dreams of earthling
And how it used to be.♥
The trees are full of liver treats
And tennis balls abound ♥
And milk bones line the walking ways
Just waiting to be found. ♥
There even is a ring set up
The grass all lush and green ♥
And everyone who gaits around
Becomes the "Best Of Breed". ♥
For we're all winners in this place
We have no faults you see ♥
And God passes out the ribbons
To each one--even me. ♥
I drink from waters laced with gold
My world a beauty to behold ♥
And wise old dogs do form my pride
To amble at my very side.♥
At night I sleep in an angel's arms
Her wings protecting me ♥
And moonbeams dance about us
As stardust falls on thee. ♥
So when your life on earth is spent
And you reach heaven's gate ♥
Have no fear of loneliness
For here, you know I wait. ♥

All Dogs Go To Heaven♥

♥“Do dogs go to heaven?” my little girl said.♥
♥“Of course,” I replied, as I tucked her in bed.♥
“How could something so precious not be up above,♥
Returned to the Father on wings of your love.”♥

“Will I see Sheba again?” she asked with a yawn.
♥“ She ’s waiting for you just as sure as the dawn,♥
To play catch with you on a soft green lawn,♥
Then rest by your side ‘til the day is gone.”♥

“Will Sheba know who I am ‘cause I won’t look the same?
Will she come to me Mom when I call her name?”♥
“I know that she will and I’ll tell you why,♥
The love that you shared never can die.”♥

”So rest now my child and know that it’s true,♥

The Rainbow Bridge"

Somewhere there's a place called rainbow bridge
Where the sun always shines and skies are blue,thats where I'll find you
I remember you,in my dreams of days and times gone by
One day we'll meet again so I try not to cry.

I can see you in each colour of the rainbow
In each raindrop falling from the sky
Your're one of the sunbeams that warm me
Now your're free
Now you can fly
You can fly

Without speech you spoke to me
Without hands you touched me
You're still here though I dont see
Time had come to say goodbye
All I can do is wonder why
But it comforts me to know that it's just for a while
Each colour of the rainbow

Beyond the Rainbow

As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.

I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.

I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.

For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.
